ALOURA M. CHARLES (Writer, Director)

A graduate of FSU Film School, Aloura Charles mentored with critically acclaimed directors, Ron Howard (ED TV) and Martin Scorsese (GANGS OF NEW YORK). Two of her feature screenplays were semifinalists in the Chesterfield Writer’s Project and several of her shorts have won awards at film festivals, including the HBO Comedy Festival in Aspen and Palm Spring International Shorts Fest.

Aloura’s second feature, RESERVATIONS, took a Best Direction Award at Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival, and opened The REEL Women’s International Film Festival as well as the Australian World of Women Film Festival.  It was bought by Showtime Australia, and received outstanding television ratings.

This year, Aloura was the featured director of the Indie Spirit Film Festival in Colorado.  She is currently working as a professional screenwriter and script doctor in LA. She has two features in development, including an Australian/American relationship comedy, CROSSING BORDERS, set to shoot in Victoria, Australia, late 2011.

HEATHER KONKOLI (Producer)

An artistic type from the time she could finger-paint, Heather has made creating film and television her life’s work. She graduated with honors from Florida State University’s highly acclaimed Film School and promptly moved to Los Angeles where she’s been working behind the scenes in television ever since. She’s produced, written, and field directed numerous high-profile series for E! Entertainment Television, the Style Network, and TV Guide Network. In her spare time, Heather is an avid surfer, singer/song writer, artist, & videographer – just a few of her many creative passions.

Thomas L. Callaway (Cinematographer)

Tom has shot over 40 feature films.  He directed and shot BROKE SKY which was distributed by IFC and is currently running on the Sundance Channel.  It screened at South By Southwest in Austin and won several awards at festivals including Best Indie Feature at Memphis Film Festival.  Tom is currently in pre-production as cinematographer for an HBO television series and in development for his next directorial feature.

James Plannette (Cinematographer)

Jim started as a gaffer. Working on such films as Young Frankenstein, Traffic and the Ocean’s movies prepared him to become a cinematographer. Jim feels that the lighting and camera work in a film helps tell the story by creating an atmosphere that allows the audience to understand the characters and what they’re going through.

CHARLES MUMFORD (Editor)

Charles is a graduate of Video Symphony in Burbank.  He is certified in both Final Cut Pro and Avid Media Composer and is handy with After Effects, Photoshop and even Pro Tools.  He has edited several music videos and was most recently a member of the Hasbro Studios team creating the Hub TV animated series “G.I. MARY ANN SKWERES (Editor)

Growing up in Cincinnati, OH and then moving to St. Louis, MO to follow his education, Rob made films that incorporated the small independent Midwest feel until finally choosing to make the logical step of learning the Hollywood system in Los Angeles through USC’s film program. Rob has shot, gaffed and ACed a plethora of projects ranging from video to 35mm film and has won numerous awards from Fuji Film, Kodak Film, Film Festivals, and Universities. Mac Fisken is currently a junior at the USC School of Cinematic Arts concentrating in cinematography. He has worked as a camera assistant on a wide variety of shorts, music videos, and commercials. Jessica was born & raised in Ohio, went to college in Massachusetts, and now resides in Sherman Oaks, CA.  Her past endeavors include performing in theatrical productions, penning a music column, and operating a radio station.  Jessica is currently studying Film and is in the process of writing a feature.  She has worked as a Script Supervisor & set P.A. on several film projects in the Los Angeles area.

BOB BAYLESS (Sound Design)

Bob Bayless is a third generation musician whose background includes too many bands and performances to mention. His music is an eclectic mix of influences from rock-n-roll sensibilities through classic film scoring techniques gleaned from ten years working with renowned composer Jerry Goldsmith on block-buster films such Airforce One, Small Soldiers, The Mummy, and two Star Trek movies. He received a MPSE Golden Reel nomination for Disney’s animated feature film Mulan.  Bob composed a number of film scores, including the award-winning shorts “Misconnect” for Un-Natural Selection director, Aloura Charles.  In addition to his music credits, Bob’s feature film experience includes sound design, dialog editing, and mixing, as well as picture editing. He is partner in Hollywood Dell Digital Studios, a creative post boutique editing company formed to provide organic post workflows for indie filmmakers on a budget.
